Little girls skipping to the beat of their own music!I LOVE skipping! Skipping brings out my inner child like blowing bubbles or drawing on the sidewalk with chalk!

Getting in touch your inner child is one of the best things you can do when you are in a “mood” or having a day.

Music is another fix!

There are several songs that I love to put on repeat and listen to when I am in a funk!

  • Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves
  • The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats
  • I Wanna Be a Cowboy by Boys Don’t Cry
  • The Love Shack by the B-52’s
  • It’s the End of the World as We Know IT by REM!

These are my “HAPPY” songs!

They put a smile on my face, a beat in my feet, and lift me up to that place where life is awesome again!

An amazing angel posted on her blog last week about feeling like a butterfly coming out of her cocoon, spreading her wings, and doing amazing things.

I loved her story — I could so relate to her sharing her ups and downs, sharing being a new mum and everything that comes with that.

I so can relate to her story on so many levels and reading her words … it’s been transformational and inspirational!

I have been muddling through this mindshift for so long now that I started to lose sight of my goals, what I am trying to achieve, and why I am on this path.

It’s always been clear … it’s just been so frustrating getting there.

I’ve been encouraged by my rockin’ blogging muse, my awesome kick-ass fluffy bunny, my incredible chef who serves up delicious words, and a fantastic goal reaching teacher!

It is the end of the world as I know it!

I am changing so many things and moving in so many directions!

And I feel fine about it!

Letting things go, whether it is people, groups, newsletters, followers, fans or whatever it is that needs to be let go, is just such an amazing and uplifting thing.

It really is life changing!

And it really does open up a whole new world for anyone who is willing to do it!

But you need to take that first step.

Get rid of just one thing that just is no longer needed or one thing that is holding you back from taking that step forward to start reaching that BHAG (big hairy audacious goal).

No matter how minute, you need to start somewhere.

I started with my Facebook friends list.

Seriously … I even unfriended family members. o.O

I know! Right?!?!?!?!

You need to start somewhere … pick a place!

I promise when you let that one thing go, it will get contagious and you will want to do more. You WILL find more places to do it!

And the more you let go, the freer you are, and the more you figure out — You really did not need that thing (whatever it is) after all!

I’m leaving you will REM’s video! Enjoy!
