These crocheted beanies are made by me. I have been crocheting since I was about 9 years old. I am making these beanies for Christmas gifts this year. I’m working on customizing this particular pattern for small heads, too. Baby William has to have a matching beanie like his Daddy! Duh!
I am also making scarves, which I will share pictures of here when I have at least 2 finished. We have lots of kids between my husband and I (his 3, my 4, and now our William) , not to mention the extended family with grandparents, siblings (we each have one), friends — looks like I’m going to be busy busy busy over the next 2 months 😉
This is a great gift idea for anyone who crochets! You are spending between $5 – $10, which is great for just about any gift exchange (family, work, friends, etc). And it’s perfect for those of us on a tight “holiday” budget.
I use one skein of yarn for the hats and 1 – 2 for the scarves (depending on how wide and how long I am making the scarf). I use all kinds of yarn, but my favorites to use are the Lion’s Brand yarns.
You will see the “Project Show Case” every now and then with all the crafts I am doing. I love sharing the crafts I am making and some of them I will share step-by-step instructions so you can make your own!
Are you making holiday gifts this year? I would love to hear about your crafts!
